  3. May

    1. Elsecar Heritage Centre @ Elsecar Heritage Centre
      12:00 am – 11:59 pm

Elsecar Heritage Railway this is a One day event on Sunday 25th of May but
      as there are spaces for
Camping and Caravans in first part of the Car Park reenactors can arrive
from 10:00hrs on Saturday 24th May. There is a dance with pie and peas in
Large Marquis behind station on Saturday evening tickets are £10.

The Event opens at 10:00hrs Sunday 25th May 2014.
For any members who have not been to Elsecar Heritage Centre before, the
event is all hard standing so groups should keep this in mind when planning
their Living History Displays. There’s room for vehicles so a L/H display
centred around Jeep(s)/ Motorcycle and side-car etc. would be ideal.
Displays can also be set up in the Marquis on Sunday and the Association is
looking into the possibility of extra free-standing tents or some kind of
frame we can throw canvas sheeting over.

The preliminary format of the event is…

The public will be stood on the train platform and the scenario’s will take
place on the track area below after the train has left the station. Each
NWW2A group attending can create their own mini scenario using
      allies/axis/smoke and small pyros etc.

      11am: Remembrance Service (TBC)
      1:30 Firing Display and Talk
      Station And Platform
All day scenario based on the station platform and trains
      12 noon: Train leaves station
SLOT 1 after train has left
      1PM : Train leaves station
SLOT 2 after train has left
      2PM : Train leaves station
SLOT 3 after train has left
      3PM : Train leaves station
SLOT 4 after train has left

A few suggestions to help inspire units scripting their own scenario
Training exercise in the form of
      1-assaulting a un manned position
      2-heavy weapon Drill (mortar/Bazooka/shrek)
3-special forces/resistance silently infiltrating a German occupied station
to sabotage the tracks + pyros detonation fighting withdrawal
4-German troops carrying out an anti partisan/resistance sweep to secure the
tracks small fire fight after finding infiltrators
